NH-Based Photographer Offers Free Police Sessions

Shayla Jepsen is a local lifestyle photographer on the New Hampshire coast. She has been doing photography since 2016 and what started as her side activity is now her bread and buttah! She recently started an amazing project called “The Human Behind the Badge” and it is a cause that is close to Shayla’s heart.

Shayla was raised by one of New Hampshire’s top cops. Her father is now retired and is still one of Shayla’s greatest heroes. She felt the weight of this difficult and often thankless job, ESPECIALLY last year. Its mission is to let officers and their families know how much they are appreciated. The project “The Human Behind the Badge” is a series of 15 minute mini-sessions. The officer appears in uniform for one family portrait and in normal civilian clothes for another and they are shared side by side to show them off as normal humans! This is completely free for agents and their families. (only active and retired police officers please)

If you know of an officer who would be willing to participate, please ask them to contact Shayla directly through their company ‘ Facebook page. She wants officers to know that no details will be released; badges and patches will be blurry.

And if you need a photographer for a wedding, maternity shoot, family photos, whatever you need, Shayla does an amazing job. Discover more of his work here.
